Buying in U.S. dollars saves 5%!

If you’re buying in U.S. dollars you’ll enjoy the current exchange rate. As of today’s date, 1 Canadian dollar is equal to 0.953762 U.S., which is basically an automatic 5% savings on your purchases.
So buying in U.S. dollars has a significant advantage in the near future, but remember exchange rates fluctuate daily and nobody ever knows for sure what the rates will be in the coming days and weeks, but right now it’s an exceptionally good deal!

A SAD day for Canadian Performing Arts

So You Think You Can Dance Canada CANCELLED!
After 4 very successful seasons and a triumphant Season 4 finale this past weekend, Canada’s dancers will no longer face the music on national TV.
“I can confirm that So You Think You Can Dance Canada has not been renewed for a fifth season,” said Scott Henderson, vice-president, communications, Bell Media.
“After four seasons and 92 episodes, CTV has decided to pursue other program strategies. This decision was made after careful consideration, including viewership and economic factors. We remain extremely proud of the legacy of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, including raising the profile of dance in this country.”
The show remained strong in the ratings this summer, averaging just over a million viewers a week, making it one of the highest rated Canadian-made programs on the air.
However sources said the numbers for Sunday’s finale were almost 30 per cent lower than last year.
This is a great loss to the Canadian dance community and perhaps yet another sign of where profit takes precedent over quality, content and the future of Canadian talent.
The hope now will be for the creation of an all new venue to once again allow some of the best dancers in the world a chance to perform, compete and gain recognition on a national stage, but sadly that maybe a long way off as many may choose not to follow in the same footsteps of So You Think You Can Dance Canada, where they too may have to eventually withdraw where profits are king and nothing else really matters.
